I want to add value to my property using plaster mouldings, what do you suggest?

When looking to increase your property value, any good estate agent will tell you that style and impressions will make a massive difference to the saleable value of your home. A well designed house will help to increase the potential value of your home.

If you are in possession of an older period property, look at the existing fittings and plaster mouldings and try and match them to our products using a sympathetic pattern. We have an extensive catalogue of authentic Georgian and Victorian plaster Cornice / Coving which will encompass most period properties, so you are sure to find something suitable.

Can I fit your products myself?

Yes you can. We have a fitting guide and we also provide fitting materials on our site which we recommend strongly to help you do it yourself.

How do I store plaster mouldings once I have taken receipt of them?

All plaster Covings, Cornice, Ceiling Roses ect. must be stored flat whether on the  floor or upright. If the latter is the case, make sure they are well supported and are not allowed to sag or bow.

Also, because there may still be some residual moisture content in the mouldings, please do not store on or in contact with carpets, upholstery, timber flooring, skirting boards and furniture etc.

How much is delivery and when will I receive my goods?

There is a flat rate fee of £40 although smaller items such as corbels and ceiling roses up to 560mm in diameter can be sent via Hermes couriers using their 2/3 working day service for a reduced fee. Please contact 01626 830500 for prices.

Once your order has been placed, we will contact you by either email or phone within 48 hours to inform you of the delivery date. All orders will be delivered within 8 working days.

I have original plaster Cornice / Coving that I want to replicate. How do I proceed?

This is a very common issue. Sometimes you may need plaster Cornice / Coving re-produced because of damage or the partitioning of a room, if so, please see links on homepage and to the left hand side for further instructions and on line payment.

What areas of the UK are eligible for delivery?

We cover the whole of Wales and England as far north as Leeds. We offer delivery within a 200 mile radius of our warehouse for £40.

If you are outside the delivery range please call us on 01626 830500 for more information on how we can help you.

Do you offer a fitting service?

Yes. A fixing quotation can be supplied upon request. Call us on 01626 830500

The products supplied are slightly damp. Are they OK to fit?

Yes. Sometimes our products are still damp when supplied but please do not be alarmed. All items can be fitted straight from the mould and in fact, most professional installers prefer them this way as they provide more flexibility and are less porous when applying adhesive.

Are the website prices inclusive of VAT?

Yes. All prices include VAT at 20%

I want to order Cornicing but am unsure of how much to order.

To help you, the customer choose the correct quantity, we have put together the following formula:

Accurately total up the perimeter of the room in metres. Then add 10% to the total. Divide by the length of your chosen Cornice (shown on the product details) then round that figure up to the next full length.

So for example, you have chosen the ‘Grand Victoria’ for the following:

  1. Room perimeter = 22.4mtrs

  2. Add 10% at 2.24mtrs = 24.64mtrs

  3. Divide by 2.6 = 9.47

  4. Round up 9.47 to the next full length = 10 lengths

Note: Add 15% to total meterage if you have more than 6 mitres (corners)

If you are still unsure, then please email us a plan of your room and we will be happy to advise.

When is it best to paint your plaster products?

Once the products have been installed, wait until they are fully dry. They will be white in colour and dry to the touch. Never paint them before installation.

We always recommend using two coats of normal matt emulsion with the 1st coat watered down.

How are your products delivered?

All of our products are hand delivered using our own transport and driver so we have full control over timing of deliveries and care of all items.

Your order will arrive on the date agreed and in perfect condition.

I have a curved wall. Can you make coving/cornice to suit?

Yes. If you need a radius cornice / coving section made, whether to match an original profile or one of our own designs, we can help. Just send us a profile of the curved wall, letting us know if it bows inwards (internal) or outwards (external) along with how much you require.

To make a profile of the radius in question, use an appropriate sized piece of paper or card and cut to suit the shape of the curve.

If the section to be made is to match an original moulding, we will need you to send either a small piece or post a profile in the post. If sending a profile, using a standard timber saw, cut straight in to the Cornice face, insert a thin piece of card (keeping it square in relation to the wall and ceiling) and carefully sketch around the shape with a sharp pencil. From this we can produce new mouldings to match.

Please find a price guide below for radius sections matching our own Cornice designs:

Set-up fee – £72 – £84

Cost per 1.5mtr length – £60 – £78

Price guide for radius sections to match existing mouldings:

Set-up fee – £102 – £120

Cost per 1.5mtr length – £60 – £78

The above prices are dependent upon size, and are only applicable to plain run mouldings, and not Cornice enriched with decorative leaf, flower, egg & dart, scrolls, motifs etc.

Carriage is charged at £40 unless already part of an original delivery.

All prices include VAT.
